Anti peta

OK, so what does Rita have to say about all this now? First of all let me state, I'm a huge animal lover, I'm not a vegetarian, but I do not support PETA. Don't get me wrong here, I agree with PETA on one thing...animal cruelty is wrong, but to go as far as to target children, scaring them from drinking milk, etc is just a little bit too much. Anywho, here are some sentences for thought.

PETA is geared toward "total animal liberation"
What does this mean to you? Well to PETA it means no meat, no milk, no zoos, no circuses, no wool, no leather, no hunting, no fishing, and no pets-not even see-ing eye dogs.

Did you know that 2 PETA employees were arrested in NC and charged with 31 felony counts of cruelty to animals?

Did you know, that PETA regards humans as just another animal species? Although in MY OPINION, the fact that we can read, write, with the ability communicate in more than one language (ok other animals species communicate too, but can only in 1 "language")...I do believe the classification is a little simplistic regarding the human race

Did you know that B. Friedrich grouped Timothy McVeigh with some of the words greatest visionaries after refraining from eating meat during his last meal?

Did you know that PETA supports and provides aid to Earth Liberation Front, and Animal Liberation Front-two groups that the FBI classifies as domestic terrorist threats?

The most shocking evidence against PETA, is in their own words.
"We have no ethical obligation to preserve the different breeds of livestock produced through selective breeding. ... One generation and out. We have no problem with the extinction of domestic animals. They are creations of human selective breeding." - Wayne Pacelle, Senior Vice-President oF HSUS, formerly of Friends for Animals; Quoted in Animal People, May, 1993

"The cat, like the dog, must disappear..... We should cut the domestic cat free from our dominance by neutering, neutering, and more neutering, until our pathetic version of the cat ceases to exist." -John Bryant, Fettered Kingdoms: An Examination of a Changing Ethic, PETA 1982, p.15.

"Six million Jews died in concentration camps, but six billion broiler chickens will die this year in slaughter houses." -Ingrid Newkirk, President, PETA, The Washington Post, November 13, 1983.

"As John Bryant has written in his book Fettered Kingdoms, they [pets] are like slaves, even if well-kept slaves." -PETA's Statement on Companion Animals

"I don't think you'd have to kill -- assassinate -- too many . . . I think for five lives, 10 lives, 15 human lives, we could save a million, two million, 10 million non-human lives." -Jerry Vlasak, longtime spokesman for the Washington-based Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM), which the better-known People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) describes as a "related" organization.

"Even if animal tests produced a cure for AIDS, we'd be against it."- PETA President Ingrid Newkirk, September 1989, Vogue Magazine

"To those people who say, `My father is alive because of animal experimentation,' I say `Yeah, well, good for you. This dog died so your father could live.' Sorry, but I am just not behind that kind of trade off." -- Bill Maher, PETA celebrity spokesman.

On the consequences of stopping animal research: "Don't get the diseases in the first place, schmo." -- PETA's David Mathews (USA Today, July 27, 1994).

"I will be the last person to condemn ALF [the Animal Liberation Front]." Ingrid Newkirk, in the New York Daily News, December 7, 1997

*ALF is listed as a domestic terrorist organization by the FBI*

"Our campaigns are always geared towards children and they always will be" PETA vice president Dan Matthews, on the Fox News Network (December 19, 2003)

There is no rational basis for saying that a human being has special rights. A rat is a pig is a dog is a boy. They're all mammals. -- Ingrid Newkirk, PETA's President (in The Washington Times August 29, 1999).

"We feel that animals have the same rights as a retarded human child" -- Alex Pacheco, Director, PETA, (New York Times, January 14, 1989).

In 2005, received 2,145 "companion animals" (this figure doesn't include spray/neutered animals", and adopted 146. Now to the general public those figures would seem very good. BUT they killed 1,946 of those animals.

PDF Found HERE

This day in our history as Americans should ALWAYS be remembered, and NEVER forgotten. This day taught America so much; from it's vulnerability, to it's amazing power to rally back. It was trully amazing to see how patriotic we Americans can be after being hit so hard and experiencing extreme pain as a nation. However, it saddens me that it takes that kind of tragedy to bring out our patriotism as a country.

So what emotions stir up deep inside me on this day? Many to be honest. Saddness, shock, reverence, hope, and anger are just a few. I'm sure each and everyone of us could put together a massive list of how this day makes us feel emotionally.

I for one love this country, sure we have our problems, but let's face it what country doesn't? John Wayne summed it up when he said:

"Sure I wave the American flag. Do you know a better flag to wave?
Sure I love my country with all her faults.
I'm not ashamed of that, never have been, never will be."
--John Wayne

I hope that Americans around the nation will put their political differences aside today and realize that there is so much more to life here than political parties;I hope that so many people can get rid of this "it's all about me" mentality as well. What can YOU do to better this country? Stop focusing on yourself all the time and look around you! A random act of kindness is contagious and can go along way.

This country is better off than so many, yet there are people that are suffering in this country like so many in others. We are NOT perfect, nor will we ever be! Change is gradual.....

Always remember all those people that lost their lives on this day in history, as well as to remember all the men and women who have stepped up in order to defend our country.

So I pose two questions for all of you to think about.

One, is America to big to fail?

And if we do, who will step up to help us in our time of need?

To all my international friends:
I hope this post doesn't come off the wrong way. I also want to thank you, if you took time out of your busy day to remember America in remembering the pain we felt as a nation. Even though I may not post entries like this for other events that have happened around the world that have hurt other nations as this one did to America, I do remember them and send my thoughts to everyone.

Thank you all for reading, have a great day/evening.
